Death Valley National Park - the hottest, lowest, and driest National Park of all. Death Valley boasts absolutely gorgeous landscapes and sits beneath breathtaking night skies that are perfect for astro-landscape photography!  From salt flats to sand dunes to beautiful mountains and canyons, the composition possibilities are endless!

We are going to explore this arid, stunning land during our three day, two night astro-landscape workshop where we will help YOU level up your photography game through a dedicated in-field instruction as well as a curated classroom curriculum that covers topics ranging from camera operation to in-depth post processing!

WHAT DOES 'ADVANCED' MEAN?

This workshop is designed to cater to our advanced students and is a perfect addition for students who have attended other 319 UNIQUE / Workshops!

During this advanced workshops, students should have a good working knowledge of their camera (to include night time operations) as well as a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and either Sequator or Starry Landscape Stacker. 

We will focus on advanced techniques both in-field and certainly in post processing sessions.

NOTE: Our itineraries are always fluid and may change due to shooting conditions or opportunities.  We will always strive to put our students in the best positions and locations to capture epic images.  Outside of Day 1 of the workshop, specific times of the above-listed itinerary may change as necessary.

WHAT GEAR DO I NEED?

The following is the basic gear you will need for our workshops.  When you register you will receive a specific gear list by email.

  • DSLR or Mirrorless Camera

  • Wide Angle lens capable of at least f/2.8

  • Medium Telephoto Lens 

  • Quality, Sturdy Tripod

  • Wired or Wireless Intervalometer

  • Memory Cards & Card Reader

  • Camera Batteries

  • Laptop Computer (PC or Mac) with at least:

    • Adobe Lightroom Classic​ (latest version)

    • Adobe Photoshop (latest version)

  • Equatorial Tracker 

    • Highly recommend for Advanced Workshop!

  • Quality, climate appropriate clothing

  • Quality footwear with ankle support

This workshop INCLUDES THREE NIGHTS lodging at The Oasis Resort!  The nights included in tuition is as follows:

Once you register, you DO NOT need to call the hotel to set up your accommodations.  We will take care of that for you!


If you would like additional lodging nights, simply let us know on our registration form when you register for this workshop.  Additional lodging nights will be added to your final tuition payment at a rate of $235.00+tax per additional night.

We will host the workshop out of the "Oasis Room" Conference Room at The Oasis Resort.

WHAT IS THE ACTIVITY LEVEL LIKE?

Students should be prepared to be on their feet during in-field instruction and should be able to walk at least 1 mile over relatively even terrain.

Specifically for this workshop, from the parking area at the Valley of Dreams, we will have a an approximate 3/4 mile walk over relatively flat ground to reach the area.  We will remain in the area for the duration of in-field instruction and photography and will have an approximate 3/4 mile walk back to the vehicles.

This workshop is for advanced photographers of who want to LEVEL UP their skills as a photographer and have an amazing adventure in Death Valley National Park!

HOW DOES TUITION WORK?

The total tuition for this workshop is $2950.00.

  A deposit of $860.00 is required to reserve your slot.  

This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE* and will guarantee you a slot in the workshop.
 
Final tuition payments are required by  February 1, 2022.

*Exceptions may arise due to unforeseen occurrences.  These will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
