We'll also spend time photographing the dramatic peaks of Vestrahorn, Stokksnes, and Eystrahorn, some of Iceland's most iconic coastal landscapes.
Throughout the workshop, you'll receive hands-on instruction in composition, long exposures, filters, exposure blending, and creative landscape techniques. As always, our small group size ensures plenty of individual instruction and personalized guidance in the field.

HAVE SPECIFIC GEAR QUESTIONS?
We want YOU to get the most you possibly can from our UNIQUE / Workshops.
Part of getting the most you can from our Workshops is making sure you have the right gear for this style of photography. Unfortunately, not all digital cameras and lenses are made equal.
If you have any questions, whatsoever, concerning cameras, lens, tripods, intervalometers, laptops, or other accessories, please reach out to Tony via email at tony@319photography.com and he will gladly help you choose the right gear for the workshop.
WHAT CLIMATE SHOULD I PREPARE FOR?
July offers some of the most pleasant weather of the year in Iceland, making it an ideal time for photography and exploration. Daytime temperatures typically range from 50–60°F (10–16°C), while mornings and evenings are often cooler, averaging 40–50°F (4–10°C). Although July is one of Iceland's warmest months, the weather can change rapidly, with sunshine, clouds, mist, and light rain all possible within the same day. Expect occasional brisk winds, especially along the coast and near waterfalls, and plan to dress in layers with a waterproof outer shell. With nearly 20–22 hours of daylight, photographers enjoy extended golden hour conditions and endless opportunities to capture Iceland's incredible landscapes in beautiful light.

LODGING
Our workshop begins and concludes with overnight accommodations in Reykjavík, allowing time to settle in upon arrival and enjoy a relaxed departure at the end of the adventure. Further accommodations have been thoughtfully selected to provide comfort, convenience, and quick access to Iceland's most spectacular photography locations. Guests will enjoy a variety of quality hotels and Icelandic guesthouses throughout the journey, with overnight stays strategically located to maximize sunrise and sunset shooting opportunities while minimizing unnecessary travel.
This workshop INCLUDES all TEN nights of SINGLE OCCUPANCY lodging!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP?
This workshop is for photographers of ALL SKILL LEVELS who LOVE challenging photography, wish to capture amazing landscape images, and the desire to embark on the photography adventure of a lifetime all while improving their abilities as an artist!
Our workshops are designed to TEACH first and foremost! If you are looking to learn and grow as a photographer, our workshops are the right choice for you!
WILL THERE BE EDITING SESSIONS?
Let's be honest...you didn't travel all the way to Iceland to spend your trip sitting in a conference room staring at a computer screen.
We'd much rather be chasing waterfalls, photographing icebergs, and exploring lava fields while the light is perfect. That's why this workshop is all about maximizing your time in the field. Don't worry - we're not skipping the editing process. After the workshop, we'll schedule Zoom editing sessions in small groups or one-on-one, where we'll walk you through our complete Lightroom and Photoshop workflow using the images you captured in Iceland.
You'll enjoy the best of both worlds: every possible minute exploring one of the most beautiful countries on Earth, followed by professional post-processing instruction from the comfort of your own home.
SPOUSES AND GUESTS
319 Photography typically welcomes our students to bring along guests and spouses during our CONUS workshops for an extremely small supplemental fee; however, logistics for NON-CONUS workshops, like our Iceland Workshop, are too limiting to allow guests and spouses at rates cheaper than full fare.
The available 8 slots for this workshop are for 8 total participants, whether or not they are photographers.
That said, you are more than welcome to bring your spouse, significant other, or guest but they will have to register and pay a full tuition for this workshop.
