During this workshop, we will focus on the southern and south central areas of the Oregon Coast where temperatures are warmer and tourists aren't as prevalent!  We will spend five days and nights exploring stunning views and capturing both daytime landscape shots as well as night time astro-landscape images!  If you've never seen the Milky Way off the Oregon Coast, it will be a sight you'll never forget!

WHAT IS THE ACTIVITY LEVEL LIKE?

For our Oregon Coast UNIQUE / Workshop, many of our shooting locations will not require hiking of note, however students should be prepared to hike/walk a distance of 1.5 to 2 miles (round trip). Terrains we will cover include flat, relatively even terrain, rocky areas, sandy beaches, and potentially muddy areas.

Additionally, there are some considerations for our students regarding the physical requirements of our workshops and in-field shooting sessions. Students should be able to:

  • Walk unassisted over uneven terrain while carrying their camera equipment

  • Traverse and manage terrain that includes uneven rocks, loose sand/gravel, and level changes

  • Stand or be on their feet several hours (don't worry, you can bring chairs!)

  • Successfully maneuver and negotiate walking at night by flashlight in a rocky, desert environment

If you have specific questions about the physical aspects of our workshops, contact Tony via email at tony@319photography.com
